Someone had to do it still to ensure no more Thanos-sized problems will happen but it didn't have to be her. Natasha has already done much more than most, paid a high price, and thankfully managed to get back to them thanks to Tony's sacrifice. Peter didn't know the man well but judging from what everyone has told him about Stark, it sounds like he would have approved of her taking a well-deserved break.
And if Natasha isn't going to do it on her own, they are happy to contribute and give her a little push. Or kidnap her to space and drag her to the other side of the galaxy, whatever it takes.
Peter smiles at her reply because that isn't a 'No, you are all insane and I am not getting into that ship' answer, so he immediately considers it a win.
He waves his hand to indicate that he was about to turn the Benatar. Manoeuvring the ship around and parking it to lower the ramp for her doesn't take Peter more than a few seconds. Mantis and Nebula are overjoyed to have another woman on board, or rather, Mantis is happy and Nebula doesn't complain, which for her standards is a seal of approval. Once Natasha steps in they're ready to greet her with a chorus of 'hello!'s and to take flight before she comes back to her senses. Looking over his shoulder, Peter motions to the empty seat next to him for her to sit.
