They have biscuits to give to them. It helps.

No one knows what’s in them but it’s assumed there’s trace amounts of brains in it.

Okay, that makes more sense. I mean, I'm not wondering where those traces of brains come from but for my peace of mind I'll try not to.

I don’t think anyone is asking. It works well to keep them happy but I liked it better when I didn’t know what they were.

I'd have taken it as a compliment.

but you really need to be more careful. Ever considered a vacations off world?

I did. It's how he meant it.

A spaceship? Did Murphy put you up to this? Some weird pick on the kid that likes UFO thing?

[ Peter can tell this isn't going to work if they keep it to text so he turns out the video. he's in his room, with pretty big windows behind him that show bright stars and purple and green clouds formations. ]

I don't even know any Murphy, kid.

Doc? Nah. He's an older guy.

The video request catches him off guard but he answers it, ignoring the way it's grainy on his end from the terrible service they have here. The grainy does nothing to hide the view he can see on he screen and it's... amazing.

"Is that... space?"

[momsboy]

No one of your age to get friend with, then?

[ Peter isn't going to complain about the reception either, it's a miracle that Rocket managed to expand the Benatar's network to reach even further systems. ]

Yup, sure is.

"Not really. Addy's the closest."

His tone is kind of out of it as he looks over Peter's shoulder in order to take in behind him.

"Like. Actual space?"

[momsboy]

"You need to meet more people then."

Which only proves Peter's point that Thomas needs some time off. He notices the staring so he angles the camera towards the window to give the other man a better view.

"Yes, actual space. Looks prettier in person too."

"Kinda hard when most of them want to eat you."

A smile plays at his lips and he appreciates that he's given a better view of the stars and clouds behind him.

"And I could go? I could see it?"

[momsboy]

Peter scrunches his nose at that.

"Yeah, I know how it is. Been there, had to deal with it. But It was Ravagers in my case, not zombies."

No problem, he can leave the camera angled like that and take very little space on the screen.

"If you want. My team's used to picking up strays." He says that with a grin, clearly not meant as an insult. "And I'll get you back home if you get tired of it."
